This is Loki, our one-year-old black and white rescue. He was born to a very scared mother who had a tendency to abandon her litters on this one particular lady's property. Unfortunately she often didn't give any warning and until this time, the litters were always found too late. This time, however, she went outside, and under an elephant-ear plant were three little crying kittens. She quickly scooped up the 1-week-old kittens and began nursing them back to health. After a few days she found my wife and I, and we took this one off her hands, bottle-raised him from 2.5 weeks until the present day.
